| What is the purpose of The Alliance? The Purpose of The Alliance is to provide ongoing support to women in the coaching profession through career development programs as well as to increase the number of women coaches at all levels in all sports. We aim to be a strong advocate for equal opportunities for all women in athletics regardless of age, race, color, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, creed or religion. Why should I join? The Alliance isn't about us; it isn't about you. The Alliance is about something bigger, something stronger, and something greater. The Alliance is about who we can become together. As a member, you can connect and share ideas with other women coaches via online groups and by attending our professional development programs. You should also join if you are interested in supporting and being supported by an organization that is dedicated to improving the overall career landscape for women coaches. What events does The Alliance hold? The Alliance holds both regional and national programs and events. Monthly tele-conferences on various topics are scheduled. Webinars are coming! Stay up to date by visiting GoCoaches.org often, and follow along on Twitter and Facebook. How can I hold an event in my area? You will have the unique benefit of learning from other coaches and our impressive Board of Advisors. You will be able to download coaching ideas, participate in ongoing tele--conversations with other members about current issues as well as sharing ideas and successful strategies. You will have access to the membership roster, links to news articles and be able to stay current with advocacy groups that impact us as professional coaches. What is in the Member Zone?
