"The coaching profession can be stressful, thrilling, complicated, rewarding, frustrating, compelling....it is occasionally each of those and often times all of them at once.

Coaching is a wonderful wacky world-- a world made richer by relationships. As coaches, we all build teams, and yet we often fail to realize the strength we could inhale by being on a team together, sharing what we do and what we know so that we all might become better in the process.

Experience is the greatest teacher of all, and those who share their experiences give life and direction to those around them. Young coaches need footprints to follow, ears to hear, and advice to heed. Experienced coaches need fresh ideas, unique perspectives, and the opportunity to find wisdom through reflection. Building relationships within the coaching community fertilizes the soil for growth, individually and collectively. We all have so much to learn from one another.

The Alliance of Women Coaches is an organization whose mission is to support, educate, and provide mentoring opportunities for female coaches. It is built for us, the people in the trenches who are passionate about leading young women through sports.“

The Purpose of The Alliance 
To provide ongoing support to women in the coaching profession through career development programs as well as to increase the number of women coaches at all levels in all sports.

We aim to be a strong advocate for equal opportunities for all women in athletics regardless of age, race, color, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, creed or religion.

Goals of The Alliance
The over-arching goal is to improve the landscape for women coaches.
