Alliance of Women Coaches Privacy Policy

This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their ‘Personally Identifiable Information’ (PII) is being used online. The Alliance of Women Coaches (“Alliance”) is committed to protecting your privacy and implementing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the Alliance website and governs data collection and usage. By using the Alliance website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Use of your Personal Information

The Alliance collects and uses your personal information to operate the Alliance website and deliver the programs and services you have requested. The Alliance may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current programs and services or of potential new programs and services that may be offered.

The Alliance does not sell, rent or lease its membership or customer lists to third parties. The Alliance may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party.

The Alliance will disclose your personal information, without notice, only if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on the Alliance or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of The Alliance; and, (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of the Alliance, or the public.

Coaching Candidate Pool: The Alliance maintains a Coaching Candidate Pool of women coaches who are considered potential candidates for open coaching positions. You may submit yourself as a candidate or refer another woman coach for the candidate pool. The Alliance collects personal information about you and, if you are submitting a referral, about others. The Alliance may share this data with trusted partners who solicit referrals from the Alliance for women coaching candidates. Trusted partners may include, but are not limited to, athletic directors, search committees, search firms and other institution or organization leadership. By utilizing this service, you are authorizing the Alliance to provide your contact information and the referred coaching candidate’s name and other coaching information collected. Where local law permits, you may submit personal information about others, but you must first obtain the other person’s informed consent if consent is legally required. All submissions will automatically be removed from the candidate pool twice annually on April 30 and September 30 unless removal is requested beforehand. To remove a submission, please send a request for removal to info@gocoaches.org.

Security of your Personal Information

The Alliance website is scanned on a regular basis for security holes and known vulnerabilities in order to make your visit to the Alliance site as safe as possible.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. All financial transactions are processed through a gateway provider and your credit card number is not stored or processed on the Alliance servers.

Third-Party Services

The Alliance may use services hosted by third-parties, such as Google Analytics, to assist in providing Alliance services and to help the Alliance understand visitors’ use of the Alliance website and services. These third-party services may collect information sent by your browser as part of a web page request, including your IP address or cookies. If these third-party services collect information, they do so anonymously and in the aggregate to provide information helpful to the Alliance such as website trends, without identifying individual visitors.
